6 Halloween Quilling Tutorials to Put You in the Spooky Spirit

These paper quilling projects are no tricks, all treats. Pick from the beginner-friendly designs or opt for more difficult feats — no matter what you choose (or if you quill 'em all), you'll have a ton of fun getting into the festive spirit this Halloween .

1. Harvest Moon Pendant

This pendant is made with three layers and uses multiple widths of paper, so it's perfect for those up for a quilling challenge. But as long as you have the right quilling tools and techniques, even a new quiller can successfully tackle this project.

It's that time of year when the leaves begin to change color and temperatures begin to dip. There is a crispness in the air and on some very special evenings, the moon rises lower than usual and glows in colors that rival the treetops — a harvest moon.

2. Little Pumpkin Earrings

These dangling pumpkin earrings are quilled with strips of paper that are just 1/16" wide. The skills you need are basic, but working in miniature proportions provides a next-level test.

3. Spell It Out

Learn the basics of quilling the entire alphabet and soon enough you'll be able to say "Happy Halloween!" This visual pattern starts by making it easy to form the letter B, giving you the confidence needed to tackle other letters.

4. Jack-O'-Lantern Earrings

It doesn't matter if it's your first time quilling or you've been doing it since you were trick-or-treating yourself — these cute earrings are both easy and fun to make, and you only need to know a few basic shapes to pull it off.
