How to Make the Cutest Hometown Terrarium

If your hometown was turned into a miniature terrarium, what would it look like? That was one of the challenges on this week's episode of Making It (which, in case you haven't heard, is our favorite new crafting competition show). Check out our take on the terrarium challenge — can you tell we borrowed a little inspiration from contestant Amber?

Making It: Terrarium

Next for you
After watching the premiere episode of Making It, we were so inspired by the Faster Craft challenge that we just had to make our own. With a little inspiration from contestant Amber, this taxidermy-style unicorn head came together with a lot of felt, a pair of sweatpants and an array of household items. Make it for your kid's bedroom and they're sure to have sweet dreams.
On NBC's Making It, you'll see judge Simon Doonan lend his super-smart insights to all the makers trying to take home the win for their next-level crafting skills. As an author, tastemaker and the creative behind so many jaw-dropping window displays at Barney's, he has plenty of advice to give — which is also why we sat down with him to find out what he loves about the show, what it's like working with Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman, and what piece of advice he has for aspiring crafters.
