        • For a lot of projects, the handy slip knot is your first stitch. You'll probably memorize it pretty fast, but if you need a quick refresh, we're always here for you.

          1. 1. Make a loop with your yarn, crossing the tail end over the strand attached to your ball of yarn.

          2. 2. Pull the tail end under and through the loop, creating another small loop.

          3. 3. Keeping ahold of your new loop, tighten down both ends of yarn to create the knot.

          4. 4. Make the loop smaller by pulling on the tail.
