In this class you will learn how to draw a character from start to finish by first reducing it to simple shapes for each element of the character’s appearance. You will then learn how to further define each shape and add 3D elements to give your character depth. Once the initial character has been completed, you will learn how to trace over the original sketch using velum paper to them be able to draw your character in a different view while maintaining proportions.

Gerardo Escamilla, also known as Dinos is a Digital artist and Illustrator from Yucatan, Mexico with over 15 years of work experience. Gerardo studied Graphic Design and later decided to become a specialist in illustration since he liked to draw since he was a kid. Gerardo is currently working for an international design agency as a Custom Illustration Specialist, but he worked in the past as a Freelance Illustrator winning national and international awards. His works have been featured mostly in advertising in North America and Europe. Gerardo specializes mostly in the fields of character design, concept art and storyboarding.
